Goosh, a Google Command Line

For us old Unix hackers, Goosh, a Google Command Line is very cool.

    Hi Bob,

I just found and read your blog post on Agile Software Processes and FDA 510k… http://rdn-consulting.com/blog/2007/07/22/agile-development-in-a-fda-regulated-setting/

Had two opinion question for you.

    1. When working on an Internet Reporting system that gathers data from previously FDA approved medical devices, and reports on the information, how much do you feel is required in the SDLC documentation (SRS, SDS, Test Plan) and at what stage can you provide the documentation–in other words–can I deliver a full Requirements and maybe Test Plan document that are imiplementation independent, but have the design and architecture in a state of flux for the User Interface and Client/Web Service/Classes of signing up creating accounts, managing users, etc. But, maybe I have to have the Design nailed down for the Report where there is medical terminology displayed to the end user?

    2. Because it is Internet software delivered as SaaS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_as_a_Service). It is likely to be updated frequently as more user features are able to be added and extended. Do you have an opinon on how the FDA views SaaS archectures?

I really appreciate your blog postings… it is amazing to see the Internet convergence with Medical Software, and all the stuff going on… HealthVault, MSCUI, Google Health, etc.

Thank you so much for your time on this.

P.S. Tried to post comments on FDA postings… and it was just giving me a blank screen (thus trying here on the latest post).

    Best wishes!

    Pete Gordon
